Yesterday we played at the wedding of our very own Alexis Bennett! It was an absolutely beautiful day and so we decided what better way to end the night than with the ultimate LTC big band! So that’s what we did! A 12-piece band with additional fiddles, flute and a 3-piece horn section (sax, trumpet, trombone)! It was amazing and we’d recommend including some horns on any ceilidh in the future! It really works! Here’s a quick photo – Videos to come in the coming months!

Last night we played a beautiful wedding at Kings College Cambridge, always a lovely venue we play there quite often. The couple had the full classic wedding package: a Scottish Ceilidh, the LTC String Quartet and a DJ Disco.
Made in Chelsea Video
Aired in May 2012, Licence to Ceilidh played on E4’s Made in Chelsea for a Reeling Party Jamie Laing was hosting. Season 3, Episode 8. It was an amazing day, a great opportunity for us to see behind the scenes of one of our favourite TV shows! …and another fun TV opportunity for the band (after doing BBC2’s Great British Menu in June 2011 & C4’s Gok Wann’s Fashion Fix in April 2010). Hopefully some more exciting stuff like this in the future for LTC!
22nd July 2012
This week we’ve played at a couple of great venues – a Sunday wedding at the rather splendid St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel and on Thursday we played for UKTV’s company away day at Plaister’s Hall. Here’s a couple shots from the venues:
Great British Menu
In June 2011 Licence to Ceilidh played for the Great British Street Party on the finale of BBC2’s Great British Menu. We were so pleased with the show when it aired, some great shots & close-ups of the band and our live music playing for the last few minutes of the show! …and one of our classic, LTC big drum fill endings to finish off the finale programme of the series!!!
